The University of Florida is under fire for violating the free speech rights of three professors it blocked from testifying in a lawsuit challenging the state’s new law voting restrictions.
The university stated in its denials that “UF will deny its employees’ requests to engage in outside activities when it determines the activities are adverse to its interests. As UF is a state actor, litigation against the state is adverse to UF’s interests.”

The state of Florida has sued the Biden administration over its coronavirus vaccine mandate for federal contractors, starting another battle between Governor Ron DeSantis and The White House.
The lawsuit alleges the president doesn’t have this authority and that it violates procurement law.
